Art Basel Madness + Cope2 Gallery

Art Basel has got to be the best thing that has happend to Miami, thorough out many years of visiting Miami – this is one of the biggest extravaganza Miami is known for (A cultural and social highlight) and it gets better by the year.

I have never experienced such madness in Miami before, especially around The Wyndwood Art District. Every wall was filled with breathtaking paintings, graffiti artwork, and amazing photography. I ran into friends, colleagues, and met great artists. Talking about amazing artists amongst those I met was Cope and Indie184 which I had the opportunity to hang on a daily basis. I decided to spend my first day in Mia at the grand opening of The Cope2 “Rise to the Occasion” Exhibition alongside Indie184′s “Kweenz Destroy” Pop up Shop. where also my dear friend Jasmin aka vintage Vandalizm was stationed. The night was filled with so much talent and live art work, I was literally in HEAVEN!!!

Take a look:

Watch The Throne in CT!!!

As you all know, Watch The Throne was the talk of the town. Ever since the album dropped [August 8th, 2011]. It produced five singles, including the international hit “Otis”, “H.A.M”, and “Niggas in Paris”. It was only right to follow up with a concert tour that spun from October to December 2011. Critical reception towards the tour was positive and it’s the most anticipated tour of the year.

By the time I decided to buy tickets, it was a sold out show everywhere, not until my good friend and first client Mano [the official DJ for the entire Watch The Throne Tour] , blessed me with VIP Backstage tickets at Mohegan Sun Arena. Let me briefly tell you who he is: First off his grind has put this Chi-town stunna, who’s worked with M.I.A., Travie McCoy, amongst others, on top of the game. I always have surrounded myself with passionate people and Mano is one of those. Mano’s determination and hard work, throughout the years, is certainly paying off. [take note, kids!] Everything is possible if you believe in yourself!

check this VMAN piece on Mano.

I took my little cousin with me who’s a HUGE fan, words couldn’t describe this kid’s joy- He couldn’t be happier tagging along, and possibly meeting Mr. West after the concert. It also gave me the chance to kid around, do my two-step and act a fool, while my favorite songs were performed by two of the most iconic figures of the hip-hop game.. One word – EPIC!

All thanks to my dear friend Jasmin Rodriguez (Kweenz Destroy Special Guest) who introduced me to the team.

The Very Best of Versace!!!

So yeah, I was one of them fools who waited in line to get my hands on few pieces of the lovely Versace for H&M. Thankfully, the wait wasn’t that bad [45min wait] and I got exactly what I wanted.☺

What few many not know, is that Versace reworked The iconic pieces, What Gianni [who died in 1997] created back then. This is the Versace I remember and fell in love with. Yes!, Graphics and Loud Colors!! That’s the Versace Brand. There’s something so unique and nostalgic about these pieces, and I had to have ‘em!

Kudos to Donatella Versace for collaborating with H&M and bringing his brother Gianni Versace’s greatest work back to life.

Let’s reminisce Versace in the 90′s (wish I owned any of these pieces):
