The first night of New York City Fashion Night Out was rather interesting for me this time around because I ditched all fashion events and headed to one of the best exhibitions of the year. American legendary graffiti artist Futura 2000’s latest show entitled Future Shock, presented by Andy Valmorvida and curated by Nemo Librizzi opened last Friday; filled with electrifying bodies of work. It was an epic gathering filled with legends and old friends who I haven’t seen in a while.
Take a look at some photos:
My business partner Migs Aviles and friend Jose Perdomo.
I ran into Fernando Ruiz who curated the Cope2 Exhibit Gallery at Art Basel last year.
…and Billy Leroy who I haven’t seen since the last days of Billy’s Antiques and Props.
A big thank you to Curator/Filmmaker, Nemo Librizzi and his wife for inviting me. It’s always a pleasure to see you guys.
…and of course, Ricky “The Rickster” and his smirk lol
Other remarkable attendees were (not pictured): Kool Keith, Anthony Haden-Guest, Clinton Patterson, Russell Simmons, Maxwell, David Hershkovits, Pat “PM” Tenore, Ouattara Watts, Carlo McCormick, and Fab 5 Freddy.
