Since 1937, on the Lower East Side Economy Candy is an old-fashioned, family-owned candy store that sells hundreds of kinds of chocolates, candies, nuts, dried fruits; including halvah, sugar free candy and of course all the old time candy you had when you were a kid.

I’m not much of a sweeth tooth person, I like my Colombian chocolate and chocolate chip cookies but when it comes to candy or anything overly sweet I head over to Economy Candy store by the Lower East Side in NYC. I find myself walking into this candy shop every time I’m around the neighborhood. Every time I come here, it’s like traveling back to my school days heading to the nearest bodega where I would use all my chump change on Bazooka gum, Lollipops and Bubblicious gum. Those candies are gone but not forgotten [how can I? the cause of all my cavities] and this is the only store where I can find it all, with reasonable prices and so much candy to choose from, you’ll be walking outta here with a bag full of retro sweets!
