Love my Retro Handset!

I had the chance to check this cool store in Brooklyn called DijitalFix, and I instantly fell in love with everything they carry. My favorite item became my new toy; a pink (still one of my favorite colors) retro handset. Even though it’s a rarity in today text messaging world, I’m still a phone person. You can find me chit-chatting with friends and family for hours. So when I found this handset, I was in HEAVEN! This has got to be the greatest gadget I’ve ever gotten my hands on (literally), especially when I hate holding my phone or using the earpiece. This retro/classic handset is the closest thing to the good ol’ home phone. I had forgotten how comfortable they were to use. This is the best thing since sliced bread and I am totally in love with it.

I took a few shots of the store and of course my new fashionable gadget. Check them out!

Keith Haring at the Brooklyn Museum

A couple of weeks ago my friends and I went to check the early career of American Artist Keith Haring at the Brooklyn Museum. I didn’t know much about him but was immediately  intrigued by his unique and rather odd artifacts, sketchbooks, journals and videos. I realized how legendary but relevant he was. This exhibit is definitely worth checking out.

I snapped some photos, take a look. :)

Miami Goodies!

Every time I am in Miami, I always have to check my favorites stops and shops. I made a few rounds last time I was there and found some awesome pieces. It’s always exciting when you get a good find without breaking your pocket. I literally spent less than a hundred bucks on everything.

Some pieces I’ve already worn and some are still sitting in my closet waiting for that right occasion to wear it. I truly enjoy finding unique pieces and incorporating them into my wardrobe; dressing creatively is so much fun and daring.

Now let me show what I got and how I rocked them.

Nas – The Don

Rocking Robert Cavalli, no shirt on corvertible mazy/My Colombiana mami riding beside me…Ha! Escobar season has returned.

This is the single to his upcoming tenth album, Life is Good. Featuring the voice of Supercat, the beat has a sick 90s feel to it.  This will be the summer anthem. Words can’t explain how amped I am for the album.

For now, this song is on repeat daily. :)

Instagram Love

Okay, so I have been neglecting my blog lately…Blame it on my new found love instagram. Ever since I switched to the iPhone4s, it was one of the first app to download and I am hooked!

Instagram is a photo-sharing app for iPhone, launched on October 6, 2010, it holds the record as the quickest to reach over 10 million downloads (dayummm!). One of the reasons is based on the iPhone is because of its amazing camera. It takes great shots with a variety of filters to choose from, making the image more appealing. Although, this is just another social network (like we don’t have enough already) the fact that is a timeline of visual reports it makes it fun for me since I love snapping at anything that catches my eye. I’ve become a fan and you are more than welcome to take a peak through my viewfinder. The name is: Ini_Mac

That’s all for now folks, I will update the blog sooner than later. :)

Art Center/Lincoln Road

Every time I go to Lincoln Road [MIA], I always stop by the Art Center Gallery. It’s filled with up-and-coming artists work and tons of cool art all around the Studio Building. The ACSF is known for its major support to all local artists, curators and collectors. Their main focus is the community awareness and educational programming. ACSF have monthly exhibitions and I’m always excited to check this cultural institution when I’m in town.

Poolside at The Shore Club Hotel

The curtains, the linen, pillow seats, hammocks, post beds and tons of candle-lit lanterns all around, is what you experience the minute you step foot into the pool area of The Shore Club Hotel.  A beautiful Morrocan-decorated pool lounge.

I was invited to one of their many parties held at the awesome Red Room (check the photo inside). A great spot for late night gatherings. The bar is as sexy as the outdoor patio connecting to the pool and although it’s a gorgeous lounge room, I spent most of the time by the pool area. The full ocean view atmosphere and the egyptian touch was magnificent. I couldn’t help but kick off my shoes and throw myself in one them fluffy beds, bob my head to the music coming from the Sky-bar, and relax!! ahhh!! heaven.

Walk with me as I share with you few photos of this immaculate spot.
